Details for Parents

Everyone should feel comfortable when going to see a doctor. Going with a trusted adult can help teens feel more comfortable but it’s not a requirement. We encourage teens to include a parent or trusted adult in their medical decision making but it is ultimately up to them. Allowing teens the freedom to make their own choices is part of the growing process. We hope to help guide teens through this process while encouraging them to seek help from an adult they trust.

Lack of confidentiality may discourage teens from seeking necessary medical care & counseling. At TCCH our mission is to eliminate barriers to care for ALL people. It is important to provide teens necessary treatment without the added barrier of parental consent.

Under Florida statutes 394.4784, 384.3, & 381.005, parental consent of disclosure is not required to provide #Just4Me services to teens.

#Just4Me provides confidential health education, pregnancy testing, Sexually Transmitted Disease/Infection (STD/STI) testing & treatment, contraceptives, emergency counseling services & care management for teens free of charge.

Treasure Coast Community Health, Inc. has provided quality comprehensive primary care to Indian River County for 25 years. As a trusted community organization, we have made it our mission to expand our services and eliminate barriers to care for ALL people.
